Comfortably Numb!
Hey fellow Scissor Sisters fans and fans to be,
You have asked me many times to post events from my private live. As much as I treasure that part of me and try to keep it separate from my Jay Roberts alter ego, this time, I cannot resist mixing it all up.
I think you all know by now how much I love Jake Shears and the band Scissors Sisters, so I wanted to give you a glimpse into my fun with them. I should start with how Jake and I became friendly. I met Jake at a book signing (ONE DAY IN THE LIFE OF…) where I was introduced to him by the wonderful photographer Tim Hailand, who had shot this book of images over the course of one day in Jake Shears’ life, both backstage and onstage. It is a great book.
Jake and I started to chat and laugh, went for lunch and we became friends. I had been a fan of his for a long time, ever since the song “Comfortably Numb,” which I love to bits. It is still one of my favorite songs to this day. I play that song over and over again and I believe it is the most played song on my iPhone.
Recently, Jake was in London to play and introduce a few new songs. Of course it was a must that I go! I grabbed a friend of mine and we had a fabulous time. Here are some backstage with the gorgeous Ana and sexy talented Jake. I know the quality of the pics is not the best, but that doesn’t matter, because it’s the music that is so amazing! Take my recommendation: Google them, buy their songs on iTunes or on CD and you will become as big a fan as me. They have a new album coming out called “Magic Hour” and the song “Only the Horses” is just fucking brilliant.

Jay, I didn’t know till today that you did a video with the Mangiatti twins back in 2008 for menatplay.com. Are they both gay/bi or gay for pay? It’s ok if you can’t/don’t want to say. I was just curious. Btw, love Jake Shears and the Scissor Sisters!
